Fuck sake.
Go way, you fool.
If it was Suarez you would be crying looking for it
No, I wouldn’t. I’m honourable and honest.
not a flying fuck do I give about it anyway…off to the pub for the night
Bad, bad result for Everton today. Them Palace cunts have a habit of doing a number on us. I remember crying my eyes out after they beat us 4-1 in the Zenith Data Systems Cup final at Wembley in 1991, to make things worse I had to watch it on Aertel as I couldn’t pick up BBC Radio 5…A truly horrible day.
Many a game I had to watch on aertel…dark ages.
Yes, there was nothing worse than watching your fate unfold on Aertel, especially seeing as it was only updated every two days. Having said that though, the thrill of learning of an important victory via Aertel was absolutely exhilarating.
An update and your team gone one up elation. Likewise, heartbreak and constant updates if you went one down.
Sure we thought it was the height of technology at the time, Christ but we don’t know how good we have it.
Ravel Morrison puts West Ham one up at Norwich.
BBC5 Live on a dodgy MW or AM analogue radio was even better
Mid week games, always… Moving the dial constantly as you lost the signal…
I seem to remember (at least on the West coast of the country) that the reception would be terrible during the first half and you would reach half time having listened to 45 minutes plus of white noise. Things would improve dramatically though as the second half progressed and by the end of the ninety the dulcet tones of Mike Ingham and that cunt, Alan Greene, would be coming through crystal clear. There were some great commentators and correspondents on BBC 5 back then, and I always loved that name, Eleanor Oldroyd.
West Brom were rode.
Rode like poor @Fagan ODowd for a dry haircut @ €22.
Great win for Norwich City and Chris Hughton as they come from behind to beat West Ham 3-1. One time Everton target, Leroy Fer, scored a very good third goal for them.
Gary Hooper has turned their season around with an opportunistic piece of play to win and then convert a penalty. They were hopeless in the first half and deserved to be more than 1-0 behind. Snodgrass scored a very good freekick to put them 2-1 up then before Fer’s third. Not one of Jaaskelainen’s better games.
I could never get around them having 2-3 commentators for the same game. Always funny listening to them enthusiastically introducing the lad who was going to do the last 20 mins of a dour 0-0 draw between Swindon and Oldham. And you frantically trying to figure out if there was a better reception on 693 or 909/990.
Tim Krul having an absolute blinder at spurs.
The toon lead 1-0
