The Barclays Premier League™ 2013/14

Both David James and Michael Owen have tipped Liverpool for 4tho_O

Hopefully they know something the rest of us don’t… The first time when Luis is back ain’t bad tho, the squad is weak.

----------mignolet
Johnson—toure—agger—enrique
-------Lucas–Gerrard
----------Coutinho
Suarez----------------Aspas
----------Sturridge

A CB and Willian and we woudn’t be far off.

I actually forgot about West Ham and stared at the list for a good few minutes trying to work out who I’d left out so they’re in the gap I left by default. I’d put them ahead of West Brom probbaly but not many others.

1 Chelsea
2 Man City
3 Man Utd
4 Liverpool
5 Spurs
6 Arsenal
7 Norwich
8 Southampton
9 West Brom
10 West Ham
11 Swansea
12 Everton
13 Fulham
14 Newcastle
15 Villa
16 Cardiff
17 Sunderland
18 Stoke
19 Hull
20 Crystal Palace

No Sterling?

I’d like @Rocko to confirm that I told him offline a few days ago I expect Aston Villa to have an excellent season.

Some save by Boruc in injury time yesterday to preserve Southampton’s lead.

Manchester City will walk the league though.

Confirmed.

Boruc is easily the best keeper in the EPL.

Not even close Rudi. He can be outstanding and make superb saves but he hasn’t the concentration or consistency to be a top keeper.

I’d like Rocko to confirm that I told him I expected Norwich to finish top half and Stoke to be relegated.

Palace are pretty woeful here.

Awful mistake by the Hull keeper, should have saved Lampards free kick.

He’s nowhere near as effective at getting away with clangers as he is with rape.

Jamie Carragher has been excellent so far in his analysis of Arsenal Aston Villa tonight

You understood him?

Neville on Van Persie earlier - “he’s like a burglar in your house, you never know where he’ll be”

Carragher - “you’d be under the bed.”

Neville - “you’d be the burglar.”

Negrado miles onside there

All of City’s new signings on form tonight. Newcastle while being very shit, have been really taken to the cleaners throughout.

Title race should be interesting this year.

my god , newcastle are atrocious
i just put this on here at 64mins and ok they are down to 10 and the are against a lovely fluid attacking side but what is on display here is poor,
the gap between the 2 center halfs was enormous there for Nasri’s goal, if that happened here in our league youd give the fella some bollucking, it was awful stuff, that lad playing left full is like an unfit version of terry phelan
their midfield has no structure at all and they cannot put more than 2 passes together.
Forgive me for genuinely not knowing the names of the players but it matters not, there is no heart or effort on display from them at all, their an embarrassment to their club,
what price are they to go down? must be worth fifty quid

a team full of windy overpaid Frenchmen like Loic Remy and papa bouba diop or whoever are not what Newcastle are about, it doesnt work up there,
the whole thing is wrong, Joe Kinnear is a fella from the Roddy Collins school of thought who;ll want to bring Julian Dicks type characters to the squad, then you have Pardew signing these no marks for millions from also ran teams in a very poor Ligue une, WTF?
they’re bolluxed

Myself, @farmerinthecity, @briantinnion and @Rocko were having a spot of lunch today and @farmerinthecity mentioned how he was impressed with BT Sport’s coverage of the Liverpool game at the weekend. He said he was particularly impressed by them incorporating Hawk Eye into their coverage.
