Southampton were at home
St. Mary’s is more of a home ground for us than it is for them, m8.
All of our team today bar one player have played at least 200 games for Southampton.
71 points will win this league.
Fucks sake
what a clamping
Rashford and Kane with early goals in the 4pm kick-offs.
Rashford destroying the donkey Demichelis. As obvious a penalty as you can imagine waved away by the wanker Oliver. City are shit so far.
Sounds like a 1970s TV cop show.
Aguero misses a magnificent chance to equalise for the mercenaries after 90 minutes +1 of 6.
Result: Soulless Mercenaries 0 Manchester United Nil 1.
Pep had better like Europa League football.
No idea, who were they playing?
He was superb, took his goal brilliantly, denied a stone wall penalty and ran himself into the ground. United are an enigma though, showing tremendous work rate and character against top 4 contenders and then disappearing against mid table dross like Liverpool.
Its been a terrific response by Leicester to pick up 13 from 15 points after the cruel way they lost at Woolwich. I’d add one caveat though, the four 1-0 wins, bar maybe facing Aston Villa, you couldn’t have hand picked nicer fixtures. Watford & Crystal Palace away - both distracted by runs to FA Cup semi, both featured in Top 6 as recent as December but both in free fall in 2016 & both are in the bottom 4 of the form league table from 1 January. Norwich & Newcastle at home, both of whom were in Bottom 3 when Leicester faced them.
It was a bit like that run of 6 wins which Spurs had from mid January to mid February, which featured Sunderland (H), Crystal Palace (A), Norwich (A), Watford (H) & Swansea (H) - a gimme run of games for a title chasing side.
There’ll be a greater degree of difficulty to most of Leicester games from here on in:
Southampton (H) - Koeman’s charges in form and chasing a European slot
Sunderland (A) - Tough visiting a side fighting to stay up in April
West Ham (H) - Chasing 4th and have already won away at Man City, Woolwich and Liverpool and most unlucky not to win at Chelsea and Man U
Swansea (H) - That’s the easiest looking game on paper
Man U (A) - In the hunt now for Top 4 and should still be by May Day when this fixture comes round
Everton (H) - Despite their awful home form (8 defeats), bizarrely they’ve lost fewest away games in the league, just once going down 2-1 at Woolwich.
Chelsea (A) - Nothing to play for but they’ll be awkward last day of season if Leicester still need a result.
Did anyone catch the Radio 5 Live documentary on Leicester tonight?
I forgot all about it and was looking forward to listening to it.
Will be available on podcast
It’s up there already
Will listen to it on the drive home this eve.
The Arsenal are still available at 6/1 to win the league.
Just saying.
