Spurs are on course for 68 points. United Chelsea and Liverpool are completely useless and they still could manage to mess it up.

If you work off the simple mathematics of Spurs picking up 35 points from their first 19 games, another 35 points from their second 19 would give them 70 points, not 68. That’s very basic maths.

What you stated a few minutes ago was clearly incorrect as the end tables for the last 14 seasons demonstrate.

For all the hype about this Spurs team and their young English players if this was any other premier league with their points total in the last 10/12 seasons they’d already be out of the race for top 4.

In any case, I’d expect Spurs to pick up around 80 points, which could be enough to win the title.

It is but not too much ground lost, only Stoke, West Ham and Leicester in the top half of the table won. Woolwich, Man City, Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton all only picked up one point.

Spurs have conceded 17 goals, the lowest in the league. Man U and Crystal Palace are next with 20 conceded. You are right though in relation to Huth’s goal last night. Horrible defending and at variance with what we have come to expect from Spurs this season.
