The Barclays Premier League 2015/16™

An ill deserved point for Spurs. Those are the points that stack up though in a title winning season.

I’m not saying this to provoke the Spurs fans on the forum but they blew that. 2-1 up at home against 10 men to go top of the table and they fucked it up. A win today could have really spurred their title challenge on if you pardon the pun. That Sanchez goal could be one of the important goals of the Wenger era.

Reverting to form. They will shit the run-in, like we all expect them to do…

Agreed. Long way to go yet though.

Vertonghen’s loss has really been felt of late. We’ve been very jittery at the back last few games. You should be closing out a game from a goal up and a man up position but over the course of the game we were lucky to escape with a point. We were outplayed from the half hour mark onwards apart from a five minute purple patch after Coquelin was sent off. Next two games are Villa away and Bournemouth at home. If we’re not picking up six points there, well we have no business in the title race. Shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that going into the game today it was Woolwich that needed the win. Still a 3 point gap, effectively 4 with the much superior goal difference.

No place for the sides currently in first and second in the EPL in a proposed European Super League. Only the elite coterie of super franchises are welcome.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has said the mooted European Super League would be against the spirit of sport and represent a case of big-name clubs punishing smaller ones for their own failings.

Executives from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool held talks in London this week with Charlie Stillitano, the chairman of Relevant Sports, an American firm interested in exploring the idea of setting up a Europe-wide league reserved for the continent’s richest clubs.

Stillitano has indicated that such a league would not need to include the current Premier League leaders, Leicester City, nor other clubs currently above the ‘five aristocrats’.

Ranieri said that while a breakaway league might be in the financial interests of the big clubs, sports lovers would reject it.

“People must think what the fans want, not only about money,” added the Italian. “Because culture and the fans are more important than other things.”

Ranieri suggested that the nature of sport demands that rather than plot a breakaway when faced with stronger competition, traditional powers should reflect on how to rise to the new challenges.

“That’s sport,” he said. “I understand they want to do something but if something strange happens, don’t blame the little teams. They have to blame themselves. Maybe they have a good idea. But they should ask ‘why is a little team like Leicester doing better than us?’”

Mahrez puts Leicester 1-0 up with a great finish

If Leicester win here pretty much puts them out of reach of everyone bar Spurs and even at that it’ll be a handy 5 point cushion over Spurs.

Did City nearly spend a combined £100m on Fernando, Fernandinho, Navas and Bony?

They are frauds.

Great agents but.

Those little Spanish fuckers like Silva, Mata, Pedro and Navas are shocking one trick ponies who play the game in a cowardly, gutless style.

jesus navas is stone useless

Wouldn’t put Silva in that category. A fantastic player in his prime

He’s a cunt, takes the sting out of every attack, takes about five times too many touches…

That was an excellent shooting chance for Norwich’s Graham Dorrans. Should have at least got it on target but tamely hooked it well wide.

David Silva is pure useless

City really need a win here. A point is not enough for them in their battle to avoid relegation, you suspect.

Maybe now but not when he was at his best a few years ago

Full-time: City 0 Mercenaries 0.

He’s not a guy who expresses himself, he’s only as good as the players around them and when they’re out of form or not bothering their hole he looks toothless and gutless. Like most of these little Spanish shits, he’s afraid of his own shadow when it comes to taking on responsibility. Clearly he has got talent but he just lack character and personality.

A boring little fucker, the anti-Cassano.
