The Battle for Sam 2009

Not sure if Dublin will beat Kildare at all scumpot, seriously looking at the draw in that one. Mayo have shot themselves in the foot again by having one of their own clock McGarrity, their best miffielder, out now for the Connacht Final where Galway are waiting in the long grass.Since the Roscummon game all the Mayos are going round thinking Sam is in the bag, Connacht finals a mere formality, bring on Tyrone/Kerry etc, that result is the worst thing that could have happened to them, believe me.
The only difference that might actually make them serious this year is Aidan O Shea who looks straight out of the top drawer, albeit he’s not come up against anything approaching the very best yet at championship level.

McGarrity out for Mayo with a broken jaw from a club game. Internal investigation ongoing in Mayo, reading between the lines it doesnt seem like an accidental collision. There goes my 20/1 Id say anyway.

I think he’s a fine forward, this obsession with playing him corner back baffles me.

Perhaps its a case of horses for course with Doyle and Smith.

Whats the deal with O Carroll? Bad act, surely some background here?

Carney was on Today FM the other night. Happened in first minute and was off the ball.

Nuff said.

He was clocked fair and square by some 19 year old. Apparantly he ‘had it coming’

Gotta love local GAA. Slit the County’s throat to settle a grudge.

Superb.

Club football at its best:clap:

Salthill and Moycullen were at it down the strand last Sunday afternoon as well. 5 off, Co board have launched an ‘official investigation’

O carroll told management months ago he was going to thailand or somewhere for summer…think Gilroy might have picked him the last day to give him a taste and try to get him to stay…Andrews is there to do a man marking job alright i’d say…

but sure if lads go on about the dubs being overhyped, having not lost a match in leinster in something like 5 years…then what the fcuk are Kildare?..Croke park is a different animal to provincial grounds…kildare were beaten by wickla there last year and involved in one of the worst games of football ever played there against fermanagh last year too…

Moycullen were playing Killererin last wkend.

Ah right, fair enough then. Brave ploy by Gilroy.

Mea Culpa, twas Milltown(cunts) were playing the great and mighty Salthill. Joyces crowd beat Moycullen by a point

A point - motherfuckers - knew they had lost alright. Tipped them up on here at 5/2. Had them on a six team accumulator and they were the only ones to fuck it.

True enough, but Kildare just look like a much improved side this time around and these two have previous when it comes to drawing in Croke Park, didnt they draw once or twice back around the turn of the century, the last time the lilys had a half decent team?

Just out of curiousity and for banters sake, who have Kildare beaten?

Offaly? Shite.
Wexford? Shite.
Laois? Shitest.

After that its league form.

Still a decent side Kib, Think Lydon missed the game altogether, they’ve been progressing really well last couple of years and are just one or two players from being county champions imo. Gareth Bradshaw is a future player of the year, no question

And Dublin have beaten who again??

Fuck all, but Dublin didnt lose to Wicklow in Croker last year.

Neither do they have a dour Armagh cunt in charge of them.
