The Battle for Sam 2009

ah ya, thats why the 5/2 from publicity powers was ridiculous. GAA is still a market that the bookies cannot crack. Corofin for instance were 1/6 against Carraroe at the wkend. Lads told me that it was a greater certainty that Donegal beating Carlow.

Future player of the year in Galway or Ireland?

How do you rate his brother?

The do have Mickey in charge though.

yes your right… if memory serves me a young lad called Collie Moran :smiley: kicked 4 points from centre forward but the dubs forgot to come out for the second half in 2000 (??)…they drew in '98 also…

in all fairness to him Micky would be a footballing purist…couldn’t be further removed from the armagh style…

Galway definitly, Ireland quite possibly. He plays at MF for Moycullen and looks like he will be utilised as 3rd midfielder for Galway although we’d need find the first two for that to be any way effective.
Havn’t seen too much of Sean to be honest but am told he’s ‘solid as fuck’.

:rolleyes::D:thumbsup:

I always said Collie Moran was one seriously under-rated mother-fucking footballer!!

Ya Galway lack it big time in midfield. Why wouldnt they risk bringing him out. He might add a bit of mobility and ball winning ability in the sector.

Solid as fuck aint much of a slagging proposition. Bump into him a bit in County Landan.

We wouldn’t rate most footballers from Connemara from the part of Galway I come from but Bradshaw seems to be a fine footballer so far. Not a cornerback though.

I’d throw him in midfield. Can’t be any worse than that useless cunt Cullinane anyway.

He must have some of the worst ball skills Ive ever seen for an inter county footballer.

Watched a county final Killererin v Salthill before. I was sat beside the most ignorant redneck I had ever come across before at a game. Coming from West Clare thats quite a statement. Apart from possessing the worst accent in Ireland, are ye all thick ignorant rednecks from your side of the county? Presume you have a gambling problem too :stuck_out_tongue:

Having said that I brought a lad from West Clare (Cooraclare to be precise) to one of the games before and I was informed never to bring a Clare man again such was the amount of arguments he managed to start!!

Puke hates Cooraclare:D. A quality festival they have down there. Well it was quality when I was 15 or 16. Never had much bother with them myself but they have one idiot that plays with them and he beat Puke up.

I think we could do with you expanding on this point

Ah he gave him a few slaps during a soccer match. Puke is still seething over it hence he always refers to cooraclare as inbred cunts , scumbags and something else. They only picked on him cos he was the youngest too:D

Same lad hit me a slap one day in a match too when I was breaking up a fight.

You have the story the wrong way round KIB, the fucker didn’t like my abrasive style at centre half and tried his best to do me and ended up getting a kicking for his troubles…

Thought a Clare junior league connasseur like yourself would know that nobody ever started a row against the Bridge and won it

Doengeal football seem to be in a right state at the moment. Stacks of lads going on the beer, and apparently they struggled to beat Carlow. The scoreline in the end more than flattered them.

Makes you wonder why they did they get rid of Richard Dean Anderson?

Any chance Clare could take them? Saw them against Leitrim in the league and they were well worse than us and that says something.

That would be a no. 5 lads on the panel gone to America. Hopefully wont be a thrashing but it well could be.

If I dug up the archives I’d find a different version

Anyone from Westmeath on here?

Granted they were humiliated in Croke Park the last day and are a side in decline but they arent as bad as that day showed either. They still beat Wicklow at a small provincial ground and I would have Wicklow the same standard as Meath roughly.

Meath would have been looking at a fair old beating if Dublin had of brought their shooting boots the first day.

Often when a team gets annihilated like that they tend to come back with a big fight for the first game anyway. As a result Westmeath should be nowhere near the 5/2 quoted on them at the weekend. Where is that game on?
