The Guardian review of season 3, without giving away any spoilers, reckoned there were two really good episodes in season 3.
The Guadian can barely even muster a dacent sports page these days.
The episode where Natalie is 9 months pregnant, full of dread, and crippled with inadequacy, well it’s just pure mental- she even manages to look like her mother. Meanwhile carmen is just as riddled with insecurity, regarding a mint froth vs a mint reduction. And Mikey is on hand to dismiss Michelin stars…based on the relative merits of pirellis and Goodyears…in relation to Chicago winters.
Given the way western civilisation is going, this may be the last great tv series
I thought the first episode of season 3 was really good. Hardly any dialogue, Nine Inch Nails in the background, and just really well put together to tell us a story with barely any script.
The pregnancy one was good too. A lot of season 3 is just random Fak stuff, did not do it for me. A bit random and off on a tangent. It was still good, not as good as previous seasons. The Christmas dinner episode for me, remains one of the best episodes even though it had feck all to do with a restaurant.
I was getting fierce hungry watching them horse out the sandwich rolls to the overweight yanks!
Funnily enough we have not had an episode featuring a blocked up toilet.
Season 3 for me was a little disjointed - the main players are all acting the absolute fuck out of it as if they want to submit every episode for Emmy voting and the Fak family stuff almost seemed like it was included just to set up a spin off.
Not as good as 1 or 2 but still pretty good.
