I better submit this one before the 2-week post spot eligibility window expires. I was walking in Middle Third, Killester, last Friday week at 12.40pm on my way to lunch in Raheny. I was freestyling - open minded about walking, catching a dart or taking the bus - & contentedly ambling along. I was approaching the crossroads near where Heaven Hair Salon & With Purpose Barber Shop are located when I heard the revving of a motorcycle.
Said motorcycle arrived at the junction (where I was about to cross) at considerable speed & came to an abrupt halt. As I stood there I realised the motorcyclist was actor & political campaigner Liam Cunningham. He was wearing the cursory helmet & a leather jacket. He surveyed the scene & took a right in the direction of Killester village. He had a pained/frustrated expression on his face, perhaps frowning due to the ever worsening situation in Gaza, & I canât recall if this spot was before his recent Twitter slap down of Conor McGregor.
Iâve spotted Cunningham before in Killester. I recall seeing him driving a banger of a car & parking up in the modest housing estate The Orchard a few years back. I wondered at the time if he had a family link with the area but Iâve no information to conclude on this matter.

I spotted Aaron stood watching a riveting U8 Hurling match that I was also watching. He was chatting with a group outside the clubhouse. He had no direct involvement in the game so was obviously captivated by the skill on show.
Our paths crossed later on as myself and the eldest were making our way to collect the medals. He gave a nod and smile to the little man, saying âWell doneâ as he walked towards the Gaelic Football pitches.
