The Celebrity Spotting Thread Part Twee (or help Flatty identify the celeb he just spotted) (Part 1)

Dublin 2?

Apologies I just guessed.

Ah c’mon Farmer ffs. Northside odd number, southside even. Schoolboy stuff here.

Phoenix Park is Dublin 8 and that’s Northside.

So you’re well acquainted with the Phoenix Park Eh? Dirty bastard!

It’s the only place that is due to Áras an Uachtaráin. If you knew that you should know that there is no fucking way Abbey Street could be in Dublin 2.

Just now on his phone outside Mullocks shipping agents on the Dock Road, Limerick. I was in a car so couldn’t eavesdrop, he was wearing a white flat cap and a pair of dark blue Asics running shoes, bomber jacket as well.
Very tall and currently looking in really good shape.

Fun fact: Conroy was in the year above me in the same secondary school.

NĂŹ chreidim thĂș!

I’d respond but I don’t speak much Irish. I didn’t then either.

Was it not an Irish language school in dublin city centre?

Yes. That was the self-deprecating point of my post.

I thought so. Just checking. I knew a lot of people in that year.

Colaiste Mhuire ?

Not many Irish language schools in the city centre in those days.

No I would think .

SPOT, well done.

Geographical faux pas notwithstanding, it’s a SPOT, well done.

Did you know one that was useful with a mobile phone?

Not in a good way, I might add.

No. Nearly all the lads from my primary school went there and I lost touch with most of them. One of them I used to meet bashing bottles of his head on grafton st. Another is an it fella based in Galway that I hook up with every year when I go down.

BTW, I’d imagine there was no mobile phones back then? Did this fella develop his ‘skills’ in later life.
