Irish Olympic finalist Sinead Jennings/Lynch.
At the pool of the Strand Hotel in Limerick this afternoon.
She was with her three daughters and i congratulated her on her performance in Rio. She seems a lovely lady and we chatted for ten minutes or so, quite a bit about the track cycling very little of which she’s seen. She arrived home at 11 o clock last night. She said that the only time she felt daunted in Rio was when she first went into the dining hall which seats 5000.

I asked her had she seen Cavendish as she was very nearly an Olympic track cyclist herself, she hadn’t seen it but was very interested, she seemed to think that his name prevented the disqualification, she then seemed to think I might be an authority on cycling and asked me had I seen the Kirin last night as somebody had mentioned some controversy but she didn’t know what had happened. She seemed to have come from bed straight to the pool, to be honest I didn’t want to hold her up but she seemed happy to chat away.
Now don’t be such a nit picky fucker, we could soon be neighbours.
