Isn’t that the raison d’être of the site?

I used the phrase “raison d’etre” in a presentation (in english) to a group of French and Belgian accountants some 15 years ago. They fell about the place laughing and told me that no-one would use the phrase there. It would be considered very proper french and not used at all in conversation.

Other details. I was standing outside the Belvedere hotel with 2 companions and one of my companions waved at the occupant of a silver van, a sliver/grey VW commercial type vehicle. My companion said there’s Mick, my neighbour. Mick made a big effort to wave in a friendly manner to my companion.( his neighbour ).

Mick would be a spot ordinarily, the mention of a commercial vehicle would, however, suggest that Mick was indeed working, therefore I regretfully deem this to be a non-compliant spot. All the best in your future celeb spotting endeavours.

There no ‘when’ in the spot. There’s no way MW gets out of bed before noon but if the spot was anytime after 3pm then @Brimmer_Bradley surely had a few pints on board (being on tour for the week) and may be unreliable.
