The Celebrity Spotting Thread Part Twee (or help Flatty identify the celeb he just spotted) (Part 1)

Bridie would be proud of you.

That fragrant lady.

I spotted Darina Allen in the Merrion Hotel on Friday afternoon but I sadly canā€™t recall many specific details as I had a few gin & slims on board.

No, I feel important already. Iā€™m a confident guy.

Can you confirm with absolute certainty that she wasnā€™t there in a working capacity?

Absolutely. An acquaintance spotted had already spotted her at breakfast.

Is she the one with the paedophile husband?

OK. Spot, well done.

The very one.

I know mate, itā€™s shocking these fucking wannabes. Youā€™ll be delighted to hear I will return in my official capacity later this week.

I used the phrase ā€œraison dā€™etreā€ in a presentation (in english) to a group of French and Belgian accountants some 15 years ago. They fell about the place laughing and told me that no-one would use the phrase there. It would be considered very proper french and not used at all in conversation.

They were probably laughing at your accent.

The raisens they ate ???

That too. 100 mile an hour limerick accent is a challenge for continentals

Who: failed property developer, TD and renowned kerb layer Mick Wallace.
Where: Great Denmark st Dublin 1.
Demeanour: not sure ( see below).
Attire: Unknown (see below) .
Other details. I was standing outside the Belvedere hotel with 2 companions and one of my companions waved at the occupant of a silver van, a sliver/grey VW commercial type vehicle. My companion said thereā€™s Mick, my neighbour. Mick made a big effort to wave in a friendly manner to my companion.( his neighbour ).
Cc @Mullach_Ide, should you require any further details of this interaction/ possible spot please feel free to contact me via this thread.

Mick Wallace is a spot, a sound man, helped me out with something few years back and never said a word about it

Mick would be a spot ordinarily, the mention of a commercial vehicle would, however, suggest that Mick was indeed working, therefore I regretfully deem this to be a non-compliant spot. All the best in your future celeb spotting endeavours.

Iā€™m torn here. A top class adjudicator (yourself) in one corner and a top adjudicator turned spotter (@Brimmer_Bradley) in the other.

There no ā€˜whenā€™ in the spot. Thereā€™s no way MW gets out of bed before noon but if the spot was anytime after 3pm then @Brimmer_Bradley surely had a few pints on board (being on tour for the week) and may be unreliable.

Forgot to mention it was circa 5:30pm in the early evening.
