I always respected thugby league for maintaining traditions such as calling their Lions GB and singing God Save the Queen. Union caved into the Fenians far too quickly on that one.

I’m deeming him a celebrity on the basis of his exploits for Wigan and Great Britain, one of the great Lock Forwards of his era.
