It’s with much regret that I announce tonight my resignation from the post of celeb spot adjudicator on this forum, with immediate effect. I can’t continue any longer in the knowledge that the forum admins are happy turning a blind eye and paying lip service to the ongoing scurge of backseat adjudication. I won’t be party any longer to the circus that this has become. My opinion is that members who persistently break this sacred rule should be banned.

A special thanks once again to the many voters and loyal supporters who got me into this position and indeed kept me there when a vote of no confidence challenge emerged. I had hoped that the Smark name would still be adjudicating spots on this forum 30 years from now. It may still happen but it won’t be me, hopefully my son will run for and win this position like I did. I had a dream that I’d just hand the position over to him when I retired but alas that will not happen now.

To the new adjudicator whoever that will be, good luck to you. Someone else will set up a poll between two challengers no doubt. Maybe one of the two stooges we have for admins can do that and try to tidy up this fine mess they’ve created. I’m done with this.
