I had sore joints that I and my GP put down to hurling until I was 37. I’d get tested if I was you.

I have early onset Dupuyten’s contractures in my right hand. It is like a little lump of tenden which has tightened ion the palm of my hand between my baby and ring finger.
Had a bad break and dislocation of my baby finger hurling about 7 years ago which required my finger being set in a splint at 45 degrees for a couple of months which seems to have been the cause. Didn’t know at the time that they auld lad was riddle with it as typically he told nobody, so it runs in the family.
Doesn’t cause me too much bother, would wake the odd night in my sleep with a throbbing pain in my hand and it gets sore from extended heavy lifting and manual work.
Went to a specialist about it to see could I do anything about it. He pretty much told me that if he was to cut it or try and remove it that it would most likely only accelerate its growth and to carry on as I am until the finger starts to curl down.
