taxing the rich more has to be a bandaid within one or two budgets in an absolute emergency.
outside of people who’ve inherited, silver spoon types, these people have worked extremely hard to earn what they’ve got. Simply hammering these people will lead to a talent drain in very important sectors.

It’s all the wan anyway. The money won’t be there to pay pensions in 20 years. The age of abundance is coming to an end. We had a good run.
As someone who’s directly effected by it, the first thing should be equal pay for nurses and teachers. That is the big pay scandal.
Full Retirement at 66 with an increasing life expectancy is just not realistic anymore.
We live longer due to modern comforts and conditions so we need to work longer.
