Write it into a notebook.
We’ll be back to pen and paper and all the IT dossers will be out of jobs.

Depends. If Vlad Putin decides to use the microwave, he could be right. At least we’ll be warm though

There was a Russian lad doing a livestream a few days ago. He had the gas cooker on for 24 hours and had a camera pointing at it.

It would have cost him the equivalent of €1.44 a month to leave it on for a month.

The camera or the cooker?

The cooker

Apparently if you were charging your phone 24/7 for a year it would cost a euro

Think that’s if you drain and fully charge it every day. Not 24/7 charging.

If you haven’t a backup generator got now you may as well forget about it

Mate is a spark he has installed 21 generators this year. Fucking stupidity. If there was power outages you would be talking minutes maybe an hour and at that everything will be done to keep the lights on in houses. Businesses will have to lose out first.

The cost of installing a generator would far outweigh any potential miniscule benefit.

We lost power for over 3 hours more than 5 times last winter

When you’re a self employed consultant the last thing you need is the power to go out when you’ve a big one reeled

Sure you’d hardly notice and you comatose on the couch

Apparently its things that use heat that cost you.
Kettle, washing machine, dishwasher, dryer, oven hairdryer etc and obviously heat itself. The turning of electricty into heat is wasteful. Turning electricity into electricty doesn’t cost much.

We’re on the same line as Limerick regional, we’ve never lost power for a second

Yours sounds like a crazy situation

Are you living on a mountain? We haven’t lost power once in the 6 years I’ve lived in the house, bar one day in the summer a few years back when they scheduled work on a power line nearby
