The Cristiano Ronaldo is a Fraud Thread

Heā€™s making some mug of himself.

Messi would never survive the rigours of the EPL, he get savage protection off refs in the mickey mouse Spanish league and in the champions league

Itā€™s not playing against Man City and Chelsea he would have to worry about, itā€™s the likes of Ryan Shawcross kicking him into the stand.

Shawcross would break Messi in two

Maradona the greatest Iā€™ve ever seen. What he did with Napoli and indeed Argentina was phenomenal, I canā€™t recall a player who has done similar. To say the game is different doesnā€™t wash. Yes, the game is quicker but there was teak tough defenders around and many skillful players, now the fitness is at a much higher level. If he was playing now (hypothetically) , heā€™d be of that fitness level and better than Messi Ronaldo etcā€¦messi though can be deceiving he is tough he has to be.

The Brazilian Ronaldo is the only player that has matched Maradonaā€™s peak levels in the past 30 years and would probably have been better only for his knees.

Messi is an excellent player but heā€™s not at the level of those two players.

I agree rƩ Ronaldo, an absolute powerhouse of a man but his feat and brain were stunning. I remember well the day he got that injury with inter. That goal he got against the turks in the wc SF was fantastic, such quick thinking and a toe peg!

To come back from those injuries and have the career he did was a real feat of the greatness he had.

People can say what they want about the other Ronaldo and Messi but they donā€™t terrify the opposition the way the real Ronaldo did. Theyā€™re top of the game now but managers and opposition alike donā€™t have the same fear that they did back in the 90s about the real Ronaldo. He did it on the international stage, he dominated two World Cups, he did it in Spain, Italy and Holland, he adapted his game after devastating injuries that robbed him of one of his greatest weapons, he was only about 70% of the player he was previously but still the best in the world.

And whereā€™s the evidence that Messi wouldnā€™t be able for it? Aguero is a much much worse player and about the same build as Messi and he scores loads in the EPL

The real Ronaldo was an absolute joy to watch.

93rd and 95th minute goals by Ronaldo tonight to win the high stakes friendly for Portugal after Mo Salahā€™s goal had Egypt in front for a long time.

And if onlyā€¦

Ridiculous comparison, Aguero is built like a small tank, much like Maradona.

Agueroā€™s physique is made for the EPL

Benzema is a great fella, a real quality team mate. Just ask Valbuena.
