Il allow you any two overseas sides. I wont even insist one is from the southern hemisphere making it even more difficult for their fans to attend

No. It is just more difficult for fans to attend when one team is from the other side of the world. Surprised (not surprised) you dont get it

Nobody said women’s rugby was immensely popular or anything, I simply pointed out how many million they got in viewers and asked you to show me a GGA event with similar.

You said the IRFU can learn a lot from the GGA about bidding for a World Cup when the GGA’s efforts overseas are an embarrassment.

We have the likes of Manchester United supporter @dodgy_keeper saying that “no true fan cares what happens overseas”. In reality the GGA utterly failed abroad, continues to fail abroad and is declining in Ireland because people have more options than ever.

There’s no player from my own parish playing Rugby with a club at the moment.

We have one lad who gave up the GAA to play soccer because he was a shit hurler and half decent at soccer. He played in an all Ireland junior final and there was 5/6 people from the parish at it.

We have 3 county seniors and a good senior team , we regularly get a couple of hundred at league games. The talk in the pub and businesses is based on cattle prices and the senior hurling team. No one gives a rats ass about junior soccer or rugby.

The notion that rugby and soccer are going to dominate Ireland is as believable as Elvis still being alive. The majority of Ireland has little respect for any sporting organisation bar GAA.
