The Death of the GGA

No the rugby was 33k for the QF SF and F

ryle nugent has been unfairly criticized for hyping up women’s rugby so.

Wouldnt say he has ever been unfairly criticized

Oh I enjoy the fact that he’s there, and I love the pride his family have in him. I love the fact that the kids can meet and be greeted kindly by someone they have seen in an arena like croke Park, on a huge occasion, but I don’t feel personal pride. It gives me great pleasure, but chatting with his mum and brother do also.
It’s not pride. I have no right to take pride. Pride suggests I played some sort of a role in his development as a person or as a player.
Galway is my county.
I couldn’t give a fuck about an epl franchise. Like I said, you might as well passionately support Google Inc.

I don’t get you, are we splitting hairs over semantics? I don’t care for the dictionary definition but in my view what you feel is a sort of pride, it’s what sport in this country is all about,
I guarantee that most people in Gortnahoe enjoy Shane Longs success and relaying their connection to strangers, it’s awfully small minded to wish that he had hung around that place to play a bit of hurling, I wouldn’t be able to understand that sort of viewpoint at all

That’s the GGA in a nutshell however. Full of small-minded arseholes.

fantastic post

I couldn’t give a fuck where Shane long goes or what he does. You are either wilfully or ignorantly missing my point, which is clear enough. The average clubman would get far more pride /enjoyment from his club winning the championship, than some bod who happens by accident of birth to be from the same parish forging a career in a mediocre sport in a mediocre foreign league.

Lol

Your thumbs must be worn down to a nub from banging the keyboard

Right mate, let’s go back to the start now, twee and a bit weird was how you described my sentiment that people from my club feel a sort of pride that people that they coached and helped develop as sportsmen havegone onto professional and international careers. What you feel about Shane Long and soccer does not reflect everybody’s thoughts to be fair

No actually. it’s pretty easy to disprove the belief that rugby is popular.

crazy stuff

Playing international sport for your country, scoring vs the world champions trumps spud hockey

Sigh.
You can backtrack and misquote all you like.
Please reread my posts properly, maybe using a finger, before responding again.

You seem quite angry lately, mate. I’m here for you on or offline.

Is everything ok @flattythehurdler

Thump thump thimp bang bang bang

Misquote?? You used the words twee and weird in response to my original post, I don’t consider it either, but I really do think it’s small minded to wish an aspiring hurler who may have made his club team a little bit better had never had the career that Shane Long has

very snarly these days
