The 20 minute segment they did about DJ on Prime Time recently was actually way better and more in depth. Which is bizarre considering this was a 2 hour production.
You could have done those two programmes in 40 mins
It sounds like you’re getting awful excited there about things that, in context, are not as big as you want them to be. Nobody died here as a result of this, nobody got raped, nobody got murdered so relax for yourself.
Lads outside of KK would be quick enough to kick the likes of the man when he’s down but then again no other county had a player like DJ, ever ! When DJ was spending 7/8 nights in a row travelling to clubs in counties all over the country handing out medals for absolutely zero he was seen as being too generous. In fact DJ Carey could be credited with keeping the game of hurling alive in non traditional hurling counties like Roscommon, Sligo, Mayo and Limerick back then. He’ll learn his lesson and come back a better man.
Oops. He wasn’t joking ![]()
I’m sure everyone will agree that its extremely hard argue with a line of that.
The Limerick’s only do that if lads can’t recognise them
The first 45 minutes was basically a Laochra Gael
Top Tier wumming here. Classic TFK
I suppose you’ve backed down from your previous positions that the immigrants are worse and sure it was all the media’s fault. At least for this we can be thankful.
Did you purposely ignore the bit about murder and rape ?
Guys a bad egg, from what appears to be a family with no shortage of bad eggs. I believe that nobody in this world is beyond redemption, but I predict that this fella hasn’t the willingness for a change of character.
Sure he didn’t murder or rape anyone ![]()
Are you sure?
I just wasnt really sure what to do with it… ‘sure look at least he didnt rape or kill anyone…’ would be a really poor start to a defence in my opinion but then like you say,… i dont really understand kilkenny folk… despite having lived there on occasion.
‘Glory Days’ by the goose pops up on my YouTube feed a lot these days. It reminds me about nothing more than Denis Joseph.
I was knocked here so much before that I had to delete my posts. But we’ll always have the glory days
Pity he fucked up and abused them.
Think I’m going down to the well tonight
And I’m gonna drink 'til I get my fill
And I hope when I get old, I don’t sit around thinking about it
But I probably will
Yeah, just sitting back
Trying to recapture a little of the glory of
Well, the time slips away
Leaves you with nothing, mister, but boring stories of
Glory days
No money in it sure compared to property.
Its iconic the way the GAA have now adopted Glory Days as the go-to song that comes on the speakers right at the final whistle in Thurles and Croke Park. So much better than The Script/Black Eyed Peas/U2/Freed From Desire.
It came on the tannoy bang on full time on Sunday in Thurles and Dessie Hutchinson along with a few more of his teammates ran over to the New Stand side and gave it the big Jurgen Klopp esque fist pump, to roars of approval from the Ballygunner faithful. I don’t think it was properly caught on TV, which is a pity as I remember taking a mental note at the time, that this could drive some of the TFK boys demented.
Limerick led the way on that one
