The market was Electric leaning in a positive trend & used electric car values were rising and some ape in government makes this scheme up.
Utterly pointless and of no use when the charging network and our grid need massive investment.

Same as the first time buyers for houses.Builders just added 30k to the price of a new house.All paid for by me and you,the taxpayer.
VW also give a free charger installed for new buys.

These grants will simply push up the price and pad the Dealerships bottom line.
David Corbally tells a lot of cautionary tales in relation to 2nd hand EVsā¦The diesel/petrol engines have spurious parts available for replacement when neededā¦ the EVs donātā¦
But if a small section of the market can egt the 5k gramt i cant see how it helps t9 up the price for all.
The 3k grant is 100% taken by the dealer

Do a little researchā¦ you might learn somethingā¦ spoonfeeding you the information doesnāt help youā¦ That way, the next time you buy an EV, youāll do it with open eyes.

Thats the biggest issue with public charging. Granted, its usually rare people have to do it, but there are at least 6 or 7 apps people should have and registered on so that if they need a public charge, at least they are set up to charge without much hassle. Tap and go is a bo brainer tho. I havent used a circle K charger but i believe they are set up that way. You shouldnt need an app to charge. If you want to do it that way amd keep logs etc, then fine, but the option should be either app charge or tap and go charge.
