Big win coming up here for Burnley

Burnley nearly safe now. If Swansea lose at UTD tomorrow we’re beginning to get into the realms of mathematical possibilities

Big win for @GeoffreyBoycott too.

@Nembo_Kid - Burnley win 0-2 at Selhurst Park. They are now on 39 points in 14th place and have all but ensured survival in the top flight for the first time since 1974/75. What a wonderful job Sean Dyche has done there.

Burnley are a noble club. I used to work with a lad from there, a sound skin (despises Blackburn)

Why so? With my Preston North End leanings, I’d be no lover of Burnley. Do you cheer on near neighbours of the team you support, like Man U?

Burnley are one of the founders of the football league. I used to be a regular at Turf Moor

Because it’s important to be correct on the INTERNET, mate.

It looks as though Sean Dyche has delivered for you on that score.

I’m a general well wisher of Tranmere Rovers.

I’d probably also be a general well-wisher of Everton if it weren’t for the fact they’re the Protestant, Unionist team in Liverpool and a member of the “Blues Brothers” alliance with Chelsea, Sevco and Linfield, whereas as Liverpool FC are, as we all know, the Irish Catholic team. It’s a little known fact that the “FC” part of our club name stands for “Fenian Catholics”.

Again, Manchester United’s unionist connection (Man U stands for Manchester Unionists) wouldn’t particularly endear me to them.

Up there with Forrest

Sunderland fans all sad and crying in the stands, surely of all teams these cunts should be used to getting relegated.

1985
1987
1991
1997
2003
2006
2017

That’s an impressive list.

They are no loss

Middlesbrough have a pretty impressive recent list of relegations too.

1989
1993
1997
2009
2017

Their 1997 relegation at Elland Road was the first time I really remember the phenomenon of supporters crying on camera. That seemed pretty genuine, but it sparked off a copycat craze over the following seasons in which supporters competed to be the most publicly devastated when their team was relegated so they could get their face on camera.

The Princess Diana effect no doubt made it more acceptable to do this.

Newcastle ?

Off the top of my head:

1989
2009
2016

They were relegated at least once and probably more than that back in the 70s and early 80s too but I don’t know/am too lazy to look up which seasons.

The North-East is the relegation heartland of English football.

Crystal Palace would be a good one too.

So too city back in the good old days

He picked up 13 points from the previous 45 available. You wanted Guidolin sacked for less.

thats because @geoffrey is xenophobic

An unbelievable dive from Rashford there and the peno awarded.

Just saw it there. Blatant cheating. The BT lads are reluctant to call Rashford out for being a cheat.
