Two openers from one of the best live Oasis bootlegs.
Setting Sun/Fade In-Out acoustic, Tokyo 1998.
This was only ever played live at about 15 shows in February/March 1998 but it was the standout from the whole Be Here Now tour and one of Oasisâs finest ever live arrangements. Itâs the sound of a man playing out the final days of a serious cocaine habit.
Edit: Noel is wearing a short sleeve shirt here. If itâs good enough for him, @Appendage is alright.

Buenos Aires version is better than Tokyo but the sound quality is not as good.

Backing track:
I think these two demonstrate how Noel Gallagher having a full backing band as solo artist is a mistake. His strength has always been in playing acoustically and how he can carry a song. I probably wouldnât put these down as two of his best songs or anything but they sound great when heâs playing them on his own with just a simple piano accompanying him and are a bit of a throwback to the great acoustic B-sides of the 90s. The backing band just dilutes the whole thing.

Everybodyâs On The Run
This is the best live acoustic performance of Slide Away Iâve heard, Chicago 1998. A song so utterly amazing it doesnât matter whether itâs performed electrically or acoustically, itâs equally powerful.
Thanks pal.
Have put it on record.
I enjoyed that last night.
Paul Gallagher seems like an alright sort.
Looks unbelievable.
Unrale. Cant fucking wait.
The reunion tour is going to be epic.
Great article about Knebworth in this months GQ magazine
âWhoâs the best team in Glasgow?â
âCelticâ
The Doc is shite by all accounts.
The Amy Winehouse one was massively overhyped, I was a big fan of oasis for a couple of years but wouldnât expect much.
