Pjanic has been great again today but it is a very disappointing display from Ljajic thus far. Florenzi has also been very quiet.
Great start to the half by us but we got complacent and lost our lead. Strootman inexpliably lobbed a big high pass into our own box that Rossi intercepted but luckily wasnât able to finish off was a warning sign but moments later Ljajic dallied on the ball out on the wing where Tomovic intercepted and drove down the right to square for Vargas. Since then Fiorentina have adopted a slightly more conservative approach which was need due to the space Gervinho was getting on the counter and we have looked a little short on ideas.
Playing without a striker is not working. We either need to get Totti on and playing him through the middle where he can feed the runners in behind him or we need to bring on either Destro or Borriello as a focal point through the middle. Borriello has not impressed this season but that has been due to him dropping far too deep. If he comes on we must look to get him on the shoulder of the defence and get early balls into the box.

Wonderful movement across the face of the goal and he buries it, Gervinho was again excellent in the build up. Maicon had a great chance just 30 seconds before.
