The GAA Infrastructure Thread

You again

Ewan is comparing the build cost of PuiC which has a 45000 capacity to 20/30000 scummy soccer stadiums in the UK that all have a playing surface of no more than 60% of ‘The parks’

Comparing fully seated covered stadiums that will be full 20 times a year vs one that might be full once every two years

Build cost he is on about, let’s stick with that please.

I think we need to look at the project as a whole, roofs and seats cost money. If most of the gga stadium is uncovered and it has terraces it should be a lot cheaper

Edit, it has 21k seats

Ok. Can’t wait to read about your findings mate.

The stadiums EMK references were all built between 5 and 10 years ago , were built on new sites , didn’t have to demolish and clear an existing stadium and we smaller pitches .

Steady on with those facts.

And are fully seated
Have roofs
Have proper corporate facilities
Are fit for purpose
Are easily accessible
Have great playing surfaces
Wernt subsidised by taxpayers
Have decent media facilities

Etc etc etc

PUC has really good corporate facilities . The pitch will take time . It never was going to be all covered and all seated .

The irony of a Shamrock Rovers fan lecturing any sporting organization on stadium construction overruns should not be lost on anyone .

If you are going to compare costs the fact that one stadium is mostlt uncovered and terraces need to be considered

Its just scummy soccer mate, dont most Eire scummy soccer games take place on small haggards with a Blackthorn bush for togging out.

@Ashman, how could a stadium with no corporate boxed have “really good corporate facilities”?

It is. Scummy soccer fit for purpose is a very very low bar.

Im talking about epl and championship stadiums

Bumped for @Ashman

Done via the premium seats . Also there are good conference facilities there , There was never going to be corporate boxes there for the very small number of IC games that will be held there .

So it has below average corporate facilities then
