The most excited I got all decade was probably dislocating my shoulder in Lille whenever Robbie Brady scored. It popped back in but then about 9 months later came out again and wouldn’t go back in that time.

Joe canning got a goal, and I can’t even remember who it was against, but it was in the championship, a long ball came in over his left shoulder as he was running toward goal to the right of the square. He caught it and buried it so quickly that, watching on telly, I wasn’t sure what happened until I saw the umpire furiously waving the green flag. Even then I thought he must be mistaken. It was some score.

In 3 successive world cups from 07 to 15 we beat Pakistan England and WI. Some achievement and no doubt contributed massively to achieving Test recognition.
