@Raylan 06/04/2022 “im sick of these crusties coming up from Dublin and doing what they want without any consultation with the locals”

@Midshipman_Asha 06/04/2022 “My sister now lives across from this project. She said they called to all the neighbouring houses to explain what they are doing”

You should go back to being pro-Russian, the fake news gene is strong in you

Full disclosure, her in laws are fairly traditional farmers and I gather they view them as harmless, crusty types.

Great news

thats what Im aiming to be seen at on here

Frankly, coming from the flat, fertile grasslands of North Kilkenny, it amazes me that they’d even try

Can you have a word please? cc @Rocko

If the headline read “ Eamon Ryan aims to dent popularity of energy-guzzling SUVs for Non Commercial usage - Michael Brennan reports. “

If he simply put a bit of effort into his musings he wouldn’t have the whole Rural / Construction / Agricultural sectors constantly baying for his blood.

It must be understood within the Green Party that Construction & Agricultural work cannot yet be carried out by anything other than Diesel powered engines.

Urban use of SUV’s by all means go after them but could he not try and send his messaging out properly?

the rise of the ford raptor in oireland is a concern

I don’t think Minister Ryan wrote the headline though.

I know but they need to disassociate themselves from such headlines.

It is causing unnecessary friction with Rural simpletons.

I’m going to find it very hard running in the next Local Election if it carries on.

If you’re running in Tipp you wouldn’t want to be seen.as level-headed, ethical or in anyway sane anyhow.

I want a better future & country for my children but we cannot disassociate ourselves from the Agri & Construction Industry’s.

All the Raptor owners are currently crying into their Diesel receipts.
The party is over.

To my suggestion tie SUVs to commerical tax and cvrt and dont allow private purchase or taxing of these vehicles. Eliminate private use and as commercial then they are needed. A fair compromise? Blanket taxation wont work and cause friction

FG brought in the CarbonTax & are now rallying against it

The increase of €1.50 per month will be offset by reductions elsewhere

Cross party support for carbon budgets up to 2030 today.

@Little_Lord_Fauntleroy any chance of some sort of penalty for hauliers who avoid motorway tolls, thereby polluting towns with their noxious fumes?
