Eamonn is unlikely to be approached by RTÉ to present the weather, he’s all over the place with his map
The Greens will never harvest a large vote in rural Ireland no matter what, it’s very much us vs them

Apologies if this has been shared already.
Essential journey
I dont think the Greens have a policy against that
The people living near the 67 new or enhanced routes will be happy
If I didn’t drive my 2l diesel car, somebody else would be driving it.
"Senior Green personnel within Government are arguing however that the calculations are meaningless.
"A source said: “If they didn’t go to these places some other minister from Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil would be going instead. There would be the same emissions.”
For once I actually agree with you. I think Minister’s should travel in relative style and comfort. I was just letting my hatred of Eamon and of the completely pointless Green Agenda in Ireland cloud my posting
Work away mate
Are you arguing against Governments minsiters promoting ireland completely?
No
It’s simplistic and it’ll be attacked, but it’s true. Greens would be cutting off their noses to spite their face by allowing others to make the trip.
That’s exactly it.
Sometimes you have to spend it to save it.
The policies he’s brought in will surely entitle him to a few green credits.
Lots done, more to do…
It’s a long walk to Buncrana from anywhere.
Get the bus
You don’t appear to be terribly au-fait with the levels of bus services in the far-flung Northwest. One could of course reach the new transport infrastructure by chugging along to it in the 2L diesel.
Do you want a bus up every boreen in Ireland?
There is a new route from Buncrana to Malin Head, I assume it goes in both directions, are there no other buses into Buncrana?
As I said a while ago, nothing the Greens can do will please a significant proportion of rural Ireland
At the speed they drive in Donegal you’re never more than 15 minutes away from Buncrana
I haven’t a notion about transport services 20 miles from here much less Buncrana so I’ll leave that one to our Donegal correspondent.
Your observation regarding the popularity of the Greens in rural Ireland is probably right though.
I’ve been to Buncrana (in the car) and it’s a large town, similar sized towns in the South of Ireland would have a variety of bus routes already
Chalk it down as a win for you then. You know more about Buncrana than me.
