The deposit return scheme seems destined to be remembered for the less fortunate amongst us reduced to dipping into bins to fish out bottles and cans.

A parting shot at Rodders.
The Green Party of today appears less concerned with the environment and more focused on broader social issues. All of these are laudable, but, in my view, the move is bringing the party to a place that is occupied by other parties and, in turn, making the Green Party less relevant.
I know that many members, including former colleagues of mine who were proud to serve as TDs, senators and councillors, have been dismayed at the recent direction of the party. That it would back a candidate of the far left in the presidential run was unthinkable only a few months ago.
Doesnt seem a huge amount for senior executives?

He has a point there in fairness to him. His train etiquette was always very good when I encountered him. Is he out or joining Labour with the other Limerick Leddins or Fine Gael or what?
I’m a Green voter and will continue to be so but I’d agree with a lot of Leddins points there
The greens have lost their way. Now the same as all the other champagne socialist types.

Our recycling rates are up, our streets are cleaner, 200k per senior manager seems reasonable
