Edit edit: Is that the site of the old Becky Morganās pub?
Is that owned by the horse?
Incorrect- few lads that used to work in Xico/37 running it
Yes.
Few pals of mine run it now.
I watched a game in there a few weeks back. Jack and Johnny looked after me well.
Youād be fair thirsty after the Burger and Chips in there.
Theyāre doing a fine trade. Just a little small Iād say.
One for the Dublin pubs Iāve never been in thread.
Prob a pound of salt on the jockeys
They know the game. Handy space upstairs for overflow and functions. They make good dough from Silicon Docks work dos and their staff that can afford to live around there
Its tiny. Although I think there might be an upstairs?
The biggest drawback is that you are stuck there and cant really walk to any other good pubs nearby.
Thereās a room upstairs alright.
Ya itās more like Monday to Friday pub and then relying on events on the weekends.
As @Spidey said, some pubs in that general area donāt bother opening on weekends. The trade is heavily reliant on office footfall as thereās lots of commercial premises around. Youād have the same up on Mount Street & various side streets from Baggot St all the way down to Pearse St.
They do very well out of the games in the Aviva. A lot of functions then as well.
There isnāt a decent pub between there and Baggot Street.
Not a fan of The WIndjammer no?
I was never in the Windjammer as far as I can recall.
Been a while since Iāve been in there, but didnāt recognise the barman. Definitely wasnāt Brazilian though!
in a few times with a local, they do a very reasonable pint
