And this piece at the bottom of the article is pure gold

– Former Ireland and Munster rugby star Frankie Sheahan is ramping up the advertising for his Pendulum Summit, a two-day business motivational jamboree next month at the Convention Centre in Dublin. The summit this week had a flurry of ads in the corridors leading to the arrivals hall of Dublin Airport, which don’t come cheap.
“Unleash your warrior mindset” is the summit’s rather hokey theme this year. Among the companies that, according to the marketing literature, will be represented at the event are Independent News & Media (where there are possibly too many warriors at present), Heneghan PR (which is closely aligned with INM chairman Leslie Buckley), Actavo (previously known as Siteserv, another Denis O’Brien company that is no stranger to beiing in the wars), Communicorp (whose asset is the source of the current warring at INM) and Topaz Energy (part of the fuels group that O’Brien recently sued).
There are warrior mindsets aplenty there already, I suspect.

Great thread selection :joy:

Anyways, another one to add to the list.

Poor Dolores McNamara will end up back in her council house in Garryowen if she stays listening to this charlatan.
She recently purchased a shopping center in Castletroy and has apparently upped all the rents resulting in a number of long standing tenants jumping ship.

She deserves to if she did that.

Euromillions family loses 40 houses in US
McNamaras paid an average of $50,000 for each house they bought in Detroit
MARK PAUL
The family of Euromillions winner Dolores McNamara has had about 40 houses seized by local authorities in the US city of Detroit, Michigan, for non-payment of property taxes, according to public records.

The McNamaras, including Dolores and five of her six adult children, are thought to have spent about $5 million (€4.7 million) on more than 100 homes in poorer parts of the city between 2012 and 2014.

Ms McNamara, from Limerick, won a €115 million Euromillions lottery jackpot in 2005.

The family is understood to have entered the risky Detroit property market by way of connections made through television personality and financial adviser Eddie Hobbs, who has acted as an adviser to Dolores McNamara.

The majority of the 40 houses seized from the family were forfeited to Wayne County treasury authorities in the past year, records show, although a handful were seized over the previous two years.

Under Michigan law, local authorities can seize a building from its owner if property taxes are not paid for three years.

In addition to the houses that have been forfeited, a further tranche of about 50 are understood to have been sold to an investor from Florida, in a deal agreed in October.

While the McNamaras paid an average of about $50,000 for each house, US property records show that a large number were for sale recently at an average of $17,000 each.

Foreclosure auctions
The properties seized from the family by Wayne County are expected to be sold over the coming months at foreclosure auctions, where investors often pick up abandoned homes for as little as $2,000 or $3,000.

Mr Hobbs does not advise clients on property investments, but he did introduce Ms McNamara to his former business partners at Brendan Investments, Hugh O’Neill and Vincent Regan.

Brendan Investments, which Mr Hobbs co-founded although he is no longer a director, has invested heavily in the Detroit market on behalf of its Irish investors. Mr Regan recently told a meeting of Brendan Investments shareholders that they are likely to lose 90 per cent of their cash.

You’d want your head examined buying property in the ghettos of Detroit city. Sure no one wants to live there and there’s nothing there since the auto motor companies left.
