The hurling qualifiers 2017

The wife was just saying to me how lucky we were that I booked our holiday from July 15th to July 22nd inclusive…

Big if bud

If that’s the way it turns out, I think it will be Tipp v Cork and Waterford v Wexford. I believe the provision is there that if you have already met in the championship, then you play the team that you met first rather then the most recent side. But then again this is me who is posting this.

Fair enough. I can appreciate why a man would never back against his own. Tipp were poor on Saturday but are doing enough. They will account for Dublin next week and could click soon and get back on track. There is nothing more dangerous than a good team being written off.

I assume as Waterford haven’t won an All Ireland in almost 60 years that Kilkenny will travel to Walsh Park or Fraher Field to help spread the hurling gospel. It’s an absolute disgrace if they don’t.

If Cork are playing that weekend, it will likely be two fixtures - the Sat & Sun

Nah man. Distance is too far. They’d all be exhausted for the following fixture. We’ll go have a few drinks with them in January. That’ll sort it all out though.

Dublin were far poorer in the flesh than I expected.
Tipp will beat them comfortably.
Whoever comes out if Waterford vs kk will have a big lift and be very dangerous.

Now or never for McGrath’s Waterford. We’ll find out if the Cork game was an aberration or the rule. Very hard to see Dublin threatening Tipp.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the cccc fixed these matches as a double header in Thurles.

Makes sense.

Yeah, they said so on the Sunday Game last night and we know the influence that programme has over the GAA.

That was slip of the tongue that its a done deal fixture.

You’d want your head examined not to want to play a hurling match in Tom Semple’s field

It’s basically Waterfords home championship ground. The only team we don’t play there now is Tipp

GAA doing their best for the Tipp two in a row. Home advantage against Westmeath and Dublin. Whoever pulled out the Tipp ball cursed like they had just been burned.

That’ll change for us all when Frank gets the keys.

Portlaoise is a cunt of a ground for hurling so Thurles is easily the better option. Can see why Dublin would object though.

You are going to have to explain the Eoin Reddan reference?
