Whatâs wrong with Portlaoise for Hurling?
Jesus would you ever fuck off with your tired shite. Enjoy what time you have left with your family.

Are Dublin going to object today?
They have to surely. Imagine being forced into the home ground of the all Ireland champions to play a vital knockout game with no discussion or debate. Imagine how awkward and unfair it will be o the Dublin fans. Truly shameful behaviour on part of the GAA here. Iâm sure all the fans outside of Dublin will stand with them in solidarity
Thereâs an element of the horse bolting about it though. Then all of a sudden someone in the CB turned their phone on.
Dublin are being brought to Thurles because the GAA want a double bill . I think that double bills are generally shit in that there are supporters coming and going during both games and generally neither game seems to have a real atmosphere .
Look whose talking 2 â Coming into Limerick threads to piss off the @dodgy_keeper and @glasagusban - ditto rubby threads ⌠Do you realize youâre hurting me too?
Pros and cons to them. Most people donât often get to watch that level of hurling live as a neutral and it can be far more enjoyable than watching your own county at times. No question that a smaller venue being more full makes for a better atmosphere though, especially when youâre watching it on tv.
If the Gaelic Grounds had better facilities and perhaps a slightly bigger capacity (although that may not be an issue) it would have been a smashing spot for a double header
Itâs a load of Whataboutery from Dublin now anyway. The draw was made yesterday morning ffs.
A double header in Limerick would bring at most 10-15k. Kilkenny or Dublin wouldnât bother their holes travelling and Twould attract about half the potential Waterford following.
Wexford would be a great venue for Kk v Wd and Portlsoise for Tipp v Dublin .
But it would have been handy for me Mike
But shur that makes sense. The gaa donât do sense. Nowlan Park would be ideal for Dublin Tipp also
Why would it be ideal?
Portlaoise the right venue for Tipp v Dublin.
Unfortunately Tipp or Dublin have no say & we just have to accept what the GAA fixture committee comes up with. Basically a field is a field.
Personally Harry Iâd hurl in Thurles all day long and tbh either Dublin or Tipp are either good enough or not.
Twas like a Limerick fella said to me at the final whistle on Saturday. âIf twas in the Gaelic Grounds, weâd have taken themâ
I think the referee had a much bigger impact than the venue
Capacity definitely not an issue. Thereâs a wall you can slash against and a shop selling tae and hang sangiches - what more facilities do you actually want?
Some fellas with small mickeys need a light to see what they are doing in the jacks apparently.
