Béarla, Punt, Fliuch: A history of Ireland in 10 little words
Was reading that last night, a good read. I may pick up the book itself.
I was up in Clonmacnoise recently and was reading up a bit afterwards about Leabhar na hUidhre, The Book of the Dun Cow as it’s better known, which was written there, and how the definitive version of many of the great legends, like The Táin, is based on the texts in that book. Most of what I know about those legends is based on the synopses I learned in primary school, twould be grand to read the 18+ versions now I’m older, gnéas agus gach rud.
