20. The Hurling Snob
@Watch The Break, @PM O’Sullivan, @t de b

The adopt a county hurling team fan - people from weaker hurling counties like Antrim, Rosscommon, Wexford and the likes following Cork and Killkenny religiously.

The Bandwagoner - Obvious.

The shoulder chipped nordie, who nearly despises everything Southern as Orange.

Sid you are the ultimate barfly…drink around phibsboro… know all the facts but never kicked a ball in your life…unfortunately I was far too successful as a player to ever be in this bracket…

Hilarious

badly rattled…sorry pal but you show all the signs of a man who was gelded by his bird …

The people who despite growing up in Dublin follow the county of their Father in GAA.

The old rugby school head

Stick to propping up the bar and leave the psychoanalysis others scumpot

23. The Gael.

Obsessive in his devotion to the purity of the GAA and its core values, namely amateurism and anti-Britishness. Mostly from Tyrone, but also exists in parts of Derry, Armagh and Antrim. Was against the opening of Croke Park and the abolition of Rule 42 and Rule 27. Usually a pioneer. Regrets that he doesn’t know more Irish and lets everybody know that he does in fact know a few words which he speaks haltingly. Uses the phrase “the association” a lot. May or may not have attended a meeting of “Of One Belief”. Has a son who is doing a PHD in Queen’s University on the history of the GAA in Ulster and has ambitions to be an Irish teacher. Despises association football. Claims to admire hurling but objected to any of his club’s meagre resources being redirected towards a game that “nobody plays or has any interest in playing”. Admires Mickey Harte above anybody else. Often travels to Dublin on All-Ireland final morning where he makes a point of selling his spare ticket, always to other genuine Gaels, always at face value “and not a penny more”. Was a personal friend of Cardinal O’Fiach and admires Sean Brady.

i’ve hit a nerve here…I rarely drink pal …but sure carry on…

I was always more of a hurling man.

Disappointed the author left out the frequent use of latin phrases in the hurling snob’s regular internet soliloquys.

I’m not sure why you’ve adopted mbb’s posting style, you were much more entertaining when you were aggressive and abrasive.

Fran has hit a nerve here.

kids change a man…I’ve learnt to let go pal…also living in a booze free world helps…

sid has hit a nerve here…

Fixed that for you, pal.

This guy once said he wasn’t debating hurling with me as I was from Leitrim.

A few All Irelands for the first time in almost 100 years and suddenly they’re experts.

Fuck off.

EDIT: I don’t include @chewy louie and @twiceasnice97 in that.

you’d be better of fixing the curtains in your bedsit pal…let a bit of light in ta fuck…

4 All Ireland’s and that sort of response sums a hurling snob wonderfully, think, that’s only 3 more than fucking Laois
