The World Cup is largely a showpiece for the game . All aspects on view but most serious fans the world over would prefer see their club win a league / trophy than their country win a WC .
itās shit. So many bad teams. Club game will only dominate more and more in the coming years.
It means an awful lot more to the players though
Very few bad teams in the last world cup. Just because you havenāt heard of their players doesnāt mean that they are bad. Panama were the only completely outclassed team iirc

Iād familiar with far more players than you. England were average, Croatia not much better and a team of mercenaries won it out.

Thatās not what Iām saying. For example most people including myself know very few of the Iranian team from the last world cup but they were a decent side.
It was luck of the draw, most of the best teams were on the side opposite England and Croatia. Not sure how France are more of a team of mercenaries than anyone else
France was particularly bad.
Why ?
The last World Cup was also a weak one with the likes of Italy, Netherlands, Chile and USA missing out on qualification.
The iranian team were not good. The standard is just bad so they are made look decent. Messie the greatest player of all time has little interest. Hes already tried to retire. Its an inconvenience for the best players nowadays.
Itāll turn to proper shite once they expand to 40 teams.
If you just want to see good teams hammering weak teams every week then fair enough the club game is for you
Heās played in 4 of them so he must have some interest. Just this week heās returned to the Argentina squad also
No iran just highlighted how limited international football. There very basic, compact and worked hard. If they played the big club teams theyād be destroyed. Look at the jokers than manage at international level too.
Not if it allows more European and South American teams enter.
Plenty of good European sides missed out last time around.
