This Sinn FĂ©in ate my hamster stuff is very childish from Brolly & the kind of stuff you’d expect from their army of INTERNET cheerleaders of circa 2020 (which has now splintered). It’s very convenient to say that every Sinn FĂ©in controversy is part of a media conspiracy. That said, Michael McDowell is a dick.

I think that ahead of the election we need to identify and name the main partisan party political INTERNET cheerleader social media accounts and give a brief background on the modus operandi (ie. the preferred mode of messaging and tone of each account and what their stance is on non-Irish issues).

It seems to me that of the mainstream parties only Fine Gael and Sinn Fein have such accounts but I can’t think of equivalents for Fianna Fail, Green, Labour or the Soc Dems.

The alphabet soup left have some such accounts alright and obviously the far right has thousands of them because they desperately need to create the perception they’re more popular than they are.
