The LOL Thread

If you take ties against the old firm out of the equation the LOI teams have a decent record v scotch teams in European competition . Even in ties v old firm they weren’t disgraced.

What about the league as a whole?

That would put the LOI well up the table above if only counting top divisions?
Or maybe it wouldn’t my maths isn’t great

Lithuania are last in that with a population of 2.7m and an average attendance of 1,825. Ireland is double the population and only 300 more of an average attendance

The avg weekly for Scotland is 96k though? Is that figure not the total of all games per week?

Basketball is the main sport in the Baltic states . Soccer is relatively small there .

How many match days would there be in an LOI? Pretty easy work it out if you have that figure.

Turkey only play 8 games a year? Strange league. In short I can’t make head nor tail of that table

Spread out over 34 days as well which is very impressive.

That’s definitely wrong. That list isn’t the most clear

The EPL really need to cut their match days by a factor of 10 as well.

I’m beginning to have my doubts about this table.

Anything for this season

0.22% so somewhere around Slovakia in the table. That’s giving Ireland a population of 5m, which is give or take about right, especially if you consider Derry aren’t in our pop.

Gameweek 1 - Average attendance 3,147

Gameweek 2- Average Attendance for the Premier Division 3,256 & Average Attendance for the First Division was 425

Gameweek 3 - Only 3 games went ahead due to the Weather conditons . Average attendance was 2,268

After three gameweeks and 17 games, 40,520 people have attended the League of Ireland with an average of 2,384.
