The long and bumpy road to Super Bowl XLVI

Fuck me. Incredible. Eli under pressure yet hits Cruz for 43 yards on third down. Superb catch. Massive play.

Eliā€™s just stepped it up here to bury the Cowboys. Heā€™s a class act.

That was superb from Eli, fooking great QB and a great guy.

This looks over now anyway.

Eli and Cruz breaking all kinds of club and NFL records.

 Called him Danny Baker to CLD when I got home from Coppers earlier but knew that was the fat cunt I was meaning to refer to.

Didnt bother after half time of that game. at least Dallas made something of it though. That third down pass to Cruz from Eli was excellent though. Giants at home next week should see off Atlanta, and will travel to Lambeu. Anything could happen then. Denver will be hammered by the Steelers. Tebow was 6 of 22 for 60 yards in the game last night. Awful stuff. Defences have figured it out, and they have been easily stopped the last 3 weeks.

Giants will be going to Candlestick if Detroit beat Saints which I reckon is a real possibility.

really dont think Detroit will win in New Orleans. After they fucked up last year in a gimme game away to Seattle, I dont thik they will underestimate as much this year. Saints are on a really good run of form too. Detroit are decent, but seeing Flynn throw for 6 TDs would make me think their defence isnt as strong as first thought.

Iā€™m basing it on nothing more than they like playing in a Dome !No seriously I give them a chance. They didnā€™t preppare for Flynn yesterday in fairness to them. They wonā€™t leave any stone uncovered when it comes to Brees. NO are massive favourites and rightly so but I just wouldnā€™t rule out an upset is all Iā€™m saying. Their pass rush is much better than yesterday and on other side of ball Stafford has some impressive numbers. The Saints may well have to use Sproles a lot more than they thought and stopping him will go a long way to winning.

Raheem Morris was sacked. Fergie take note.

yeah thats true. Stafford was the third best NFC QB this season. He threw for over 5000 yards this season, only Brady, Brees and Marino have thrown more in a season. Thats a fair accomplishment. And Calvin Johnson is an unreal player. I still fancy the Saints to win comfortably, but I get where you are coming from alright.

and Steve Spagnola. Black Monday continues. Jim Caldwell next Iā€™d say.

Iā€™ve had a mid size bet on the Giants for the Super Bowl at 28/1. Absolutely pumped for the game on Sunday, we have a decent Giants bandwagon on the forum now consisting of:

The Giants have made the play-offs a total of 31 times, more than any other franchise
#tradition.

Anyone else starting to worry weā€™ll never see Peyton Manning suit up again? Seems to be a lot of subtle indications and a growing acceptance that this may be the case.

Probably the best thing Peyton can do. Itā€™s almost embarrassing watching him bottle it year after year.

Here Flano - mind your manners. Peyton is an American institution.

Just laid the Pats to win the AFC @ 2.24 there. Canā€™t believe they are that short. They havenā€™t beaten a winning team all year. The Ravens (6-1 against winning teams) and/or the Steelers will surely have too much for them.

Although Brady & Co will be rooting for Cincy to beat the Texans this weekend to set up a meeting between Baltimore & Pittsburgh in the divisional playoff.

I fear I may have joined the NFL bandwaggon far too late to have seen Peyton at his best. Something I may regret for life as I doubt very much heā€™ll be back to what he was.

Really looking forward to Sundays game as well. We have never met the Falcons in the playoffs before. Itā€™ll be tough but Iā€™ve a feeling this year will be like 2007 all over again.

he was back in the booth only a just a week or 2 ago? after getting a gall bladder out or something. good that he didnt miss the playoffs anyway, but Houston really are limping in. As MAD says, Patriots will be hoping for a Bengals win, and it could well happen. Probably will be a close game anyway.

Call them lads:
Houston over Cincinnati by a field goal to end the game. 20-17 [possibly in overtime]
New Orleans to hammer Detroit and look like potential champions while doing it. 45-28
Matty Ice and the Falcons to finally win one in the playoffs in an upset. 27-20
Pittsburgh to give Tim Tebow post-traumatic stress disorder and win in a low scoring 20-6.

Cinci by 3. 24-21
NO by a few. 38 - 24
Falcons by 7. 28-21
Steelers by a few. 24-10
