The long and bumpy road to Super Bowl XLVI

the rookie comes in thinking heā€™s the big shot.

how did that Miami bet go for ya again? :guns:

Signing in, obviously.

Signing in I love the wildcard play offs and will go for the falcons and my own team the steelers this evening!

It wasnā€™t exactly a stretch to guess that the Saints and Texans would win last night.

What a display from the Saints though. That second half was outrageous.

Signing in, although I did get the margin of the Texans win slightly off.

Me too, weā€™ll ignore that.

Reports out that Luck wil be taken by the Colts in the draft. The story will run and run to the draft and what will happen with Manning, if heā€™ll be back, or if they will trade either player or what.

Have backed the falcons to win by 1-6 at 4/1

What about Tony Dungy saying theyā€™d be better off to take RG3?? He reckoned that Griffin would be a better fit for the colts offense. Is he ballhopping or could it happen?

From what Iā€™ve seen of Luck myself, while he looks to be a shit hot prospect, I wouldnā€™t say he is a stone cold lock to be an elite QB in the mould of a Brady, Brees or Rodgers.

He didnā€™t really have any deep weapons in Stanford so we didnā€™t really get a chance to see the extent of his arm strength. It was mainly slants & screens in a TE centric offense from the little I saw of him.

Eli will show his greatness once more today and Cruz wonā€™t be stopped. Tuck, Osi and Jason Double P will be too strong on defense. Having witnessed the Giantsā€™ defensive scheme in the flesh this season I donā€™t have any fear of the Falcons.

its awful hard to know I suppose MAD. I mean Brady was the 199th pick. Ryan Leaf was a toss up with Manning as to who would be no.1. He was impressive in the few big games I saw him in, threw well in the bowl game, and was very composed in his style. AS you say, a few slants and tight end/RB screen type plays, but he has a good deep ball too.

RGIII is a different sort alright, another Cam Newton. The likes of Jamarcus Russell and Vince Young are probably scaring teams, and if it wasnt for Cams success, its hard to know if RG3 would be getting the hype. He probably deserves it, but in my opinion, Cam has helped him. Iā€™m not sure if the Colts would suit him, they would have to start from scratch, and the Manning tutoring would not really suit the style of RG3. Luck is almost the same mould as Peyton, same kind of composed style and throwing action.

If I was a Colts fan, Iā€™d like to see them take Luck, and keep Manning for at least a year. Hard to know what impact Mannings injury is going to have on his longevity.

Giants made hard work of that in the end.

rocko as our resident nfl expert if I was to throw a few bob on this match what would you advise?

I tipped Falcons earlier but far from confident on that. Save your money for Barcelona derby.

Where are the so called NFL experts that were tipping the Falcons now? #Dickheads #KnowFuckAll

This is going swimingly! What a touchdown pass right there.

Great throw by Manning to finish the game. Great performance from NY. Defensively and once they got the rushing game going, their offence has been ticking nicely. Their defence on short yardage has been excellent. Considering their only concession of points was a safety, its pretty much a shut out for the defence tonight. In the playoffs, that is really good going. And very good form to take to Green Bay.

3 out of 3. Never in doubt.

Tebow with a couple of big completions, including a game levelling 30-yard TD pass to Eddie Royal.

My, my look who has remembered how to throw.

That should ask a few questions of the Steelers now.
