Tears turned to joy when news filtered through that Rory McIlroyâs short-lived reign at the top of the world golf rankings had ended.
It would be inappropriate for me to go into too much detail about what was clearly a very emotional time for anyone. But it was great to give TASE and the Brisbane Lion the send-off they deserve and it was gratifying to learn that the Lion is an avid reader of this forum, and the Ausbloodystralia thread in particular, despite her low post count.
It wasnât really a night for sideshows, there was no need for any spectacular other than the presence of the departees themselves. So it was a huge thrill to be treated to a magic show anyway. What a performance from a guy who will go a long long way in the tough business of magic.

I felt that TASE arranging a conjurer to entertain the crowd more than made up for the inadequate catering. Not often you see TASE well up but I think the emotion of the night got to him. His speech at the end left few dry eyes in the place.
All credit to the dancing baby who managed to keep his shit out of his mouth presumably as a mark of respect to TASE and family.
