The NBA Thread

Jack Nicholson courtside at the Staples Centre, nothing knew there only it’s to watch the CLIPPERS:eek:
Tip off for Game 6 only moments away:popcorn:

Tip off IMMINENT in game 2 of the Eastern Final. Heat lost game one, this is not quite a must win for them but whatever is next on the scale, a really probably have to win. Pacers have been an abject and surreal phenomenon the last couple of months, very inconsistent but brilliant when getting it together. They got it together in Game 1 and have home court again tonight, what’s more they always seem to save their very best for Miami so if they bring it tonight this one should be a cracker and they would win imo and go 2 up.
A lot of rumours that the NBA blazers will not let that happen however, this was posted by one of the Pacers girlfriends on Twitter(guy on right is Heats coach)

Pacers lead 21-20 after the 1st Q, They showed up anyway but should be more ahead. Dwane Wade and the bench keeping Miami in it so far, Lebron throwing bricks.

Heat have a 41-37 at the half. ESPN pundit Jalen Rose has just described this as ‘like a rugby game, a lot of fouls and missed passes from open play’:D:D:clap:

Pacers lead 63 - 62 after the 3rd. This is hardcore

LArry Bird gives Lance Stephenson the thumbs up as he goes to the bench for the first time. Easily the best player on court tonight

Did you pass out Laz? Heat won it, 87-83 in case anyone was wondering, its now tied 1-1 with the series moving back to South Beach. After seeing how Boston used to go against the Heat, you feel the Pacers needed that one.

Indianas Lance Stephenson was in cracking form last night as Pacers staved off elimination with a 93-90 win over Miami to take the Eastern Final to a Game 6 back in Florida on Saturday. His box score only reads 12/5/5 but that’s hardly the point.
Here he is walking into a Heat huddle, has to be told to fuck off by the ref. Love the look on Spoelstras face:D

And here he is blowing in Lebrons ear(as you doo_O)

Game 5 of the West Finals tonight in San Antonio and OKC have come from 2 games down to tie the series 2-2, the return of Serge Ibaka making all the differences. These two have lost the last two Championships to Miami between them and this looks like going right down to the wire, whoever wins tonight wins the series I reckon, gonna make a tentative call on the momentum side OKC although I see they are 5 point underdogs

In other news Donal Sterling is now officially the most hated man in America, some achievement in all fairness for the 82 year old.

It might cheer Sterling up just a little to hear that the bidding for his LA Clippers has reached the 2 billion mark

Ah lovely, I’m staying up to watch the Spurs/Thunder and it turns out my beloved Honduras are just about to take on @Rocko’s beloved Turks live on Setanta:clap: I’ve throw a 5er on Honduras for the craic, if the battle of the anthems is anything to go by it’s easy money

0-0 HT, could just as well be 2-2. Honduras have easily had the better of it but lack cutting edge up front. Turkey content to sit back and attack on the counter, they’ve pulled off a couple of decent saves from Honduran keeper. The game is on in Washington and the way the commentator keeps referring to ‘The nations capital’ you’d swear he actually really thinks Turkey and Honduras are part of the US.

We are all square after an hour of play in Washington and we are all square after the first twelve minutes in San Antonio.
In Texas both teams will be reasonably happy, the Spurs because they were down 6 with 30 seconds to play in the quarter and the Thunder because they played their way back into it after a hot start from San Antonion.

In the ‘Nations Capital’ it remains 0-0 but it’s been all Turkey in the 2nd half. Their build up play has been excellent and it looks like only a matter of time, technically they are on a different level. Izzy and Palacious have both taken worrying looking knocks for Honduras but both got up again. Honduran keeper looks the part

1-0 to the Turks:(

2-0 Turkey:mad:

Full time in Washington 2-0 to the Turks:rolleyes:

Half time in San Antonio 65-55 to the Spurs:rolleyes::rolleyes:

94-74,so OKC only trailing by 20 now after the 3rd. Spurs fans were singing Ole Ole at the end of the quarter there just to rub it in, the cunts

Devastating burst over the last 4 minutes of the third quarter from the Spurs has given them a 10 point lead in game 6.

Tie game with under a minute to go.

OT in OKC
Ginobli missed a jumper, Duncan put the rebound in but was a couple of tenths of a second too late. Smashing game

Duncan targeting Ibaka all the time in ot and either getting fouled or getting buckets.
Spurs by 1 with a minute to go
