The NBA Thread

I don’t follow it as closely anymore. It is hugely attritional now and particularly when you get to play offs, it’s a case of who is still fit and is out on the court. The Cavaliers ran away with the East in the regular season but have been decimated with injuries post season.

We had some cousins over from Boston a few weeks ago and the chat was that during the regular season Tatum had a niggling wrist injury, Holliday a groin injury and Brown a knee injury and the focus was very much on trying to get them right for the business end.

A very subdued MSG there tonight. No sign of the bauld Spike at all

He was there - dressed in orange - looked fairly glum.

Looking alright now. Pacers ran the Cavs off the floor last night

Yep - the one team in the East that could pick the Celtics ** off is Indiana. Especially if they stay healthy and it looks like the Celtics are hampered with illness/injury. The West teams will hammer all colours of shit out of each other so if the Pacers stay healthy anything could happen.

**Yes I am discounting the Knicks - it should be 3 -0 to the Cs as it stands. Indiana would demolish the Knicks.

It’s rigged

Tatum went into overdrive at the end of that quarter

In an amazing reversal of fortunes the Mavs get generational whitey Cooper flagg in the first pick of the draft after bizarrely giving away luka to the leagues biggest market for sweet fuck all. Nothing to see here. Move along.

With all their money you’d think the NBA would invest in some of these on wheels to make the players look less pathetic :man_shrugging:

Lookit, there’s no shame in losing to a storied franch…aw for fuck sake, I cant even type the words. This stink will last a long time.

Tatum ruptured his Achilles - underwent surgery today. Game over. They might beat the Knicks without him but that’ll be that.
