The Cavaliers, they made us dream…
This is going one way you’d feel
A runaway 127-102 win for the Boston Celtics in Game 5.
A mighty turnaround - the champs not going down without a fight
It was fun while it lasted; Boston in 7. They can live without Tatum
The end of this Celtics roster is a hammering
The Knicks fans had this day coming, drink it in @StoneCold
I could go through the thread looking for receipts but given Coach Thibs history with the Celtics franchise I’ll remain dignified
That’s a lame reference that doesn’t really hit at all. Would they not just have said that the last time the Knicks reached a conference final these buildings existed?
Tom Humphries once wrote a column about the then upcoming New York Knickerbockers v Indiana Pacers Eastern Conference finals series in the year of our lord 2000. It was during his sojourn in the USA.
I’m pretty sure the last line of it was “Sin to beat virtue in seven.”
Sin were the Knickerbockers under coach Jeff Van Gundy featuring Patrick Ewing and Latrell Sprewell. Virtue were the Pacers under Coach Larry Bird featuring Reggie Miller.
Virtue won.
I cannot find this column.
Congrats Nicks fans.
I usually only catch highlights rather than games but this year that was even a struggle.
Just as well the C’s got over the line last year with Brown a year older and Tatum now fucked that might be that… a lot of cap and salary issues with a new owner on board too. Most of the squad will be traded or fucked off and they’ll have to find draft capital.
As ever, we remain Boston strong.
OKC make the Western Conference finals. They’re far ahead of the remaining teams left you’d feel.
