White is a better centre back than Holding. Much easier patch up at right back
My Arsenal sources indicate that Arteta doesn’t want to play two left footed centre backs, as he thinks it affects the balance of the side & their ability to play out from the back. Gabriel Magalhaes is left footed and so is the new Polish chap, as is Tierney who could play there in an emergency in a centre back pairing. Holding is probably 5th centre back option all things being equal (behind Saliba, Magalhaes, White and Tomiyasu) but Tomiyasu’s absence complicates things too. He could either play right sided centre back or else play right back & allow White to slot into the centre but they don’t really have a viable right back replacement either.
Tierney at RB the only option. He’s got to do it.
