Oh dear. Why isn’t this game on at 3pm today? I thought the Championship play-off had moved from the Monday (bank holiday in England) slot to Saturday some years back. Although I think it’s flitted between Saturday and Monday in recent years depending on whether it’s a summer tournament year. But Sunday at 4.30pm is absolutely disgraceful. I’ll have to watch the Munster Football Final today instead.

The FA cup final in 91, we had our graduation mass for Leaving Certs the night before and off into town afterwards it was my first introduction to pints 5 days before my 17th birthday, woke up the next day a bit seedy but convinced we’d win, alas not to be 31 years later I’m an oul lad now but convinced again we’ll win tomorrow HON the Garabildi Reds
