Finally, an Irishman of substance at Forest

Great appointment. He has been blackguarded a lot in the past. Hope he does well there.

Weā€™ll be back in the EPL by June.

With Villa and Leeds back, Forest are the last of the big clubs outside the top league. Hughton will set that right.

Blackburn and Derby?

Blackburn arenā€™t a big club

Blackburn were just another provincial northern club before Jack Walker, and have gone back to that again now. Donā€™t think Derby would be classed as a truly big club either.
Of those outside the top league, after Forest Iā€™d say Sunderland and Sheffield Wednesday. Premier League is much better now that Newcastle, Leeds and Villa have replaced sides like Bournemouth and Hull. Getting rid of Palace and Brighton for Forest and Wednesday would be another big improvement.

Up there with Burnley.

Bolton and Preston are arguably bigger than Blackburn.

Fucking kills me to see a half full ground at Burnley and they in the EPL. Blackburn were the same. Wigan too.

Derby have higher average attendances than forest. Middlesboro surely qualify too.

The Smoggies are nobodies

Nah, needs to be more than just attendances. Sure Derby are not long down from the premiership and have been pulling stunts like signing Rooney to improve attendances. In any case Forest have been out of the top league for 2 decades and still have attendances similar to Derby. They are also former European champions.

List of clubs and how many years theyā€™ve played in top flight. Blackburn in 13th spot. Forest 23rd. Surprised at some of them there

I welcome that appointment has his work cut out to put it mildly though

Everton flying it in that table too

We won it twice, mate.

I feel very good about Hughtonā€™s appointment. Itā€™s like finally we have ourselves a proper manager. I havenā€™t felt this optimistic since mad Billy Daviesā€™s first spell in charge a decade ago.
Hughton teams donā€™t give away soft goals and have enough about them going forward.

Chris is taking us back to where we belong :clap::clap:

Will Hughton be hamstrung by overweight fans favourites knocking around the squad? If not, he has a real chance, unlike some of his predecessors.
