I have no words. Watched game as best I could at work on a dodgy NOW TV cast. After 70 minutes I would have settled for penalties such was the momentum United had. I hate them but they deserve credit for that comeback. Thank god for Samba is all I can say. Thought we came into it again in extra time and seemed the more likely team to win it. United were out on their feet in second period and were playing for pens.
Have to say I was very confident of Samba saving a few in the shootout. It’s the kind of scenario he is made for, he’s a proper maverick keeper. Equally capable of moments of genius and utter madness. Did his usual shithousery too which definitely helped unsettle their kick takers.
I have my Wembley tickets & flights booked. Now we just need to show up on the day and not let this be an anticlimax.
