He has looked tired for a few holes now but still hasn’t done a whole lot wrong. He’s -6 for today and bogey free over first 17 holes. Not a lot you can do when your opponent hits 9 birdies. Its a reversal of Muirfield. Mickelson never played better than he did over that last round with Stenson finishing runner up. Stenson has never played better than this.

I’ll never forget the day I was sat at the bar in Ned Reas having a few pints and watching the end of the Open. Harrington won it so I’m guessing it was 2007. I was sat beside some auld lad who down from some sort of sheltered housing / nursing home and we were having a good chat. The presentation for the golf came on but before they presented Harrington with the trophy they awarded the Silver Medal for top amateur. My interest was piqued when they said it was going to a young Irish golfer and the camera panned to this curley headed pig faced little cunt they called McIlroy. I said to myself this lad looks like an unmerciful cunt. I love being right.
